London artist prettifies streets by painting mini-masterpieces on chewed gum

From Wikipedia

Having seen his wood sculptures and found wood art vandalized and destroyed, and having a strong dislike for rubbish, [Ben Wilson] developed a new art form that is both vandal-proof and beautifies rubbish. He creates tiny works of art by painting chewing gum stuck to the pavement.

From The New York Times

Ben Wilson softens the gum with a blowtorch, sprays it with lacquer and then applies three coats of acrylic enamel. He uses tiny brushes, quick-drying his work with a lighter as he goes along.
